Customising your constraint options in Inventor

Customising your constraint options in Inventor

We often get calls on a technical support issue with regard to sketch constraints.

The problem is now and again sketch constraints go missing  i.e when drawing a line the endpoint of that line will not constrain to another.

To resolve this you will need to activate the following:

In Sketch Mode navigate to the Constrain Panel and ensure that Constraint Inference, Constraint Persistence & Persistent Dimension are all activated.

Once that is complete, in the same activated sketch, right click and select constraint options.

Finally, ensure that the following options are activated.

This will activate all constraints and dynamically activate constraints as you sketch

Hope this helps

Fusion 360 is a cloud-based platform that allows designers, engineers, and manufacturers to collaborate and work on product designs in a single environment. With Fusion 360, users can create 3D models, perform simulations, and generate toolpaths for CNC machining and 3D printing. It also includes features for collaboration, such as version control and commenting, which makes it easy for teams to work together on complex projects.
