Dr. David Downey

Educational Outreach Manager - IDEAM

As the IDEAM Cluster Manager I am passionate about the next phase in manufacturing (Industry 4.0/5.0) and, the digital journeys for SME to enable sustainability. Digital transformation is a strategic initiative that incorporates digital technology across all areas of an organization. It evaluates an organization’s processes, products, operations, and technology stack to identify ways to improve operational efficiency and bring products to market faster. In today’s digital-first business landscape, organizations use artificial intelligence (AI), automation, cloud environments, and other digital technologies to leverage data and streamline intelligent workflows. This approach enables faster and smarter decision-making and real-time responses to market disruptions.
