Demir Ali

Demir has been part of the Autodesk software ecosystem for most of his career. He began as a design engineer for a global engineering and construction company, before going on to spend over 25 years helping customers with their software and hardware needs, with a particular focus on the design and manufacturing industry. Before joining Autodesk, he worked as a Senior Field Engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, where he supported leading organisations across finance, motorsport, and entertainment.

At Autodesk, he is passionate about helping customers get the most from the software portfolio, supporting adoption and growth across a wide mix of industries and organisations — from small businesses to large multinationals.

Away from work, he enjoys keeping up with his busy family, hitting the trails on his mountain bike, and taking his motorbike out whenever the weather allows.

Dr. Ciara Buckley

Dr. Ciara Buckley serves as the Industrial Partnership and Network Coordinator for the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS). A first-class honours graduate in Biotechnology from AIT, Dr. Buckley went on to complete a PhD in Polymer Engineering from TUS. She brings extensive experience in fostering multidisciplinary research and excels in leading and supporting industrial projects within TUS.

Her experience in securing large scale investments for Research and Innovation projects across various domains, from economic development to environmental sustainability, allows her to understand the specific needs and challenges faced by organisations seeking to implement novel solutions. Lise-Ann’s strong network and experience in managing successful grant applications have supported organisations that need help understanding funding options and bringing new ideas into their operations.

With over 20 years’ experience, Simon has implemented a variety of enterprise management solutions for many companies across several industries. Over the last 5 years, Simon has become one of the country’s leading cloud PLM Consultants, working with a team of specialists who deliver fully integrated end-to-end engineering data management solutions.

Stephanie Niland

Stephanie Niland is Digital Construction Manager at Kirby, responsible for leading digital construction delivery across the group with a strong focus on MEP coordination, off‑site manufacturing, and constructability.
Having progressed through hands‑on project delivery roles, she brings deep experience across data centres, industrial manufacturing, biopharmaceutical and medical technology projects, combined with the leadership of high‑performing digital construction teams.

Dr. Lisa Moran

Dr Lisa Moran is Dean of Graduate Studies and Head of the Graduate School at TUS. A graduate of the University of Galway and the University of Limerick, she holds three Masters degrees and a PhD and is a sociologist by training. She has co-authored 4 books that have already been published with two more that are nearing completion. She is the former President of the Sociological Association of Ireland. She is very interested in forging connections with industry for TUS regarding research.

Anders Mellingen

Anders joined Symetri in 2000, and held the position of Business Area Manager for manufacturing in Norway for many years before becoming Sr. Director of the Nordic Manufacturing Business Unit in 2020. With 25+ years of experience from both technical areas and complex solution sales, he has been part of both Symetri’s and the manufacturing industry’s development over the last decades.

Dr Tim Yeomans

Dr Tim Yeomans holds a PhD in Microbiology from University College Cork and postgraduate diplomas in Technology Commercialisation and Innovation Management. Earlier in his career he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Trinity College Dublin and as a research scientist at the National Centre for Medical Genetics, before moving into industry as an R&D Manager for a commercial R&D enterprise. Tim is currently Centre Manager of the Centre for Applied Bioscience Research (CABR), a collaboration between Munster Technological University and Technological University of the Shannon. In this role Tim leads the development and management of industry-focused research programmes, supporting companies in evaluating scientific evidence, developing research strategies, and translating scientific findings into commercially relevant applications. The CABR Technology Gateway is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27.

Mark Costello

Mark is Director for BIM with over twenty years’ experience of large infrastructural projects at all stages. He is an industry leader in BIM and has given many lectures and seminars in Ireland and the UK on BIM processes. Mark is currently managing BIM delivery of major roads, water, pharmaceutical, healthcare and education projects. He was project director for an innovative Building Information Modelling (BIM) approach on the M8 motorway improvements scheme in Scotland, with project partners Ferrovial Agromam AMEY and BIM director on several other road schemes in the UK (including the A684 Bedale in Leeds and the A9 Dualling in Scotland). Mark recently completed work on an intensive 4-month tender for High Speed 2 Main Works Civils Contracts DB (€750m), on behalf of a contractor client.
