We’ve noticed that there have been a few issues and errors reported about Vault 2018 products, so we’ve outlined below what we’ve come across.
Issue: Vault Basic server 2018 installer throws an error stating “There is an existing data management server under C:\Program Files\ADMS 2017\. Please specify another location of server application.
The above problem is currently noticed only with Vault Basic Server 2018 installer and happens while customers are trying to upgrade from a previous version of Vault Basic Server installation to Vault Basic Server 2018.
Status: This incident is being investigated for a possible cause and resolution.
Workaround: A quick workaround would be to specify a custom install location in the installer wizard on the “Configure Install” section.
Issue: Vault Basic 2018 23.0.76.0 is not compatible with the following applications on localhost: Vault Basic Server 22.0.48.0
Causes: Vault Client was upgraded before the Vault Server.
Solution: Upgrade the Vault Server so its the save version or newer than the Vault Client.
Please Note: Always take a full Vault backup before making any major change to your Vault Server.
Issue: After released a drawing, You noticed that the PDF file is not published as well.
Causes: In lifecycle of PDF files (Design Representation Process), there is no one allowed to modify the released PDF file.
Solution: Add an administrator to modify the released PDF file.
