For anyone interested in learning about the world of Building Information Modelling (BIM), we will be providing a free on-line demo of Autodesk REVIT 2015, in the near future. Details to be confirmed. Watch this space!

We will be going through the main feature’s of REVIT that are used to create a 3D virtual environment of a construction project, including Structural, Architectural and MEP.

  • Structural: Foundations, Slabs, Walls, Steel Beams/Columns, Concrete Beams/Columns, Reinforcement.
  •  Architectural: Walls, Roof, Windows, Doors, Glazing, Materials, Renders.
  • MEP: HVAC systems, Pipework and Electrical Containment.

With the use of parametric parts (revit families) you will be able to see how quick and easy it is to create your own BIM model for use in the real world for construction projects big and small.
