Introduction to CAM

This course is an introduction to CAM using Fusion 360/Inventor HSM. The candidates will learn about the different types of machining most used in manufacturing today, machine setups, tooling, creating toolpaths, calculating feeds and speeds, simulating, posting code and understanding G-code. During this course we take you through 3/4/5 axis Milling, Mill/Turning, fabrication, Probing, and 3D printing and that you will sufficiently be able to put it to use.

Additional Information

  • The course is broken down into 3 sessions. To complete this course, you will need to attend 3 online sessions and each session is two hours long.
  • Participants must have Fusion 360 software installed on their laptop. - Candidates are required to have the European version of Autodesk software using the metric system installed.
  • Pre-payment is required.
  • Candidates will receive a Certificate of Completion from Autodesk.
  • Please note you will need two screens to attend the training, one to view the Instructor using the software - a tablet can be used for this but not a mobile as the screen is too small and a PC/Laptop so you can complete the CAD drawings alongside the instructor
